Sunburn occurs when skin is burned by exposure to the ultraviolet sun rays. Here are some ways to use natural home remedies for sunburn:
H2O- The best way to cool your body and hydrate yourself is by drinking water. So while you are suffering from skin burns due to heat, bring your body’s temperature down by sipping plenty of water and other natural cool drinks. Drinking up to 8 glasses of water a day is necessary when your skin is seriously sun burnt with skin peeling out.
Tea bags- It is the night after the sunburn that the skin actually starts to sting, here is a remedy that will help soothe the sting. Soak few tea bags as per as the area in hot water and after few minutes keep them in the refrigerator to cool down. Remove the tea bags after one hour and place them on the skin that is affected by sun burn. The tannins in the Tea bags help to reduce the inflammation and soothe the skin.
Buttermilk- Buttermilk is very good remedy for Sunburns. Take 5 tablespoons of buttermilk with 3 teaspoons of tomato juice, mix well and apply to the affected area. Let it stay for half an hour and then wash away.
